TMS has been commissioned to design and build a so-called dry sand ship unloader. This is an installation to unload a self-propelled hopper suction dredger. The installation is equipped with a 7.3 m wide grab bucket with a capacity of 21 m³ and a full weight of 55 tons. The self-propelled unit has a length of 12 meters, a height of 14 meters and a width of 9 meters. The grab unloads the contents on a conveyor belt (delivered by de Regt Conveyor Systems), which than discharges the sand which can be unload on the quay.
