The straight boom cylinder luffing crane has a lattice or 'closed box' luffing. Luffing is done by a winch. A second winch is used for lifting. Slewing is done by a slewing gearbox which drives the slewing ring bearing. The crane can use the power of the vessel, but if required, an integrated powerpack can also be supplied.
