TMS has designed and built and tested 2 new pile cofferdams to be able to work on piles below water level. These will soon be used in a project in the IJ waterway in Amsterdam to build submerged parking. These pile cofferdams are lowered over the pile, then hydraulically clamped on to the pile. Than the seal will be activated and afterwards the water will be pumped out so that a dry working area below water exists.
